A series of nine walks exploring the Parish of Freshwater are now available in a weatherproof plastic wallet. They have been sponsored by Freshwater Parish Council Regeneration Fund.
These circular walks all start from Moa Place Car Park in Freshwater and vary in length from 1.75 miles, to the longest, 8 miles. Routes take you along cliffs, across Downs, farmland and beaches of the beautiful West Wight, with spectacular views.
There is a section of ‘Useful Information’ within each leaflet, giving details such as approximate walk times and where refreshments can be obtained and public toilets are available.
A small amount of history, relevant to the position on the walk, is also included.
Sets of Walks can be obtained from: Freshwater Library and Elliotts, as well as the Parish Office.
At a cost of £2.50 these prove good value for money.
